Notice is hereby given that the next meeting of the Westwood Parish Council will be held in the Parish Room, Farleigh Lane, Westwood on Monday 7 February 2022 at 7.30pm.

 NOTE.  This meeting will strictly observe the extant regulations regarding COVID-19 Security.


7.30pm - Public Participation. Members of the public will be given the opportunity to make any representations that they wish the Parish Council to note immediately prior to the commencement of the Parish Council meeting.


 1.           Apologies.

To receive and to accept apologies for non-attendance.

 2.           Declaration of Interests.

Councillors to declare any interests.

 3.           Minutes of the Ordinary Parish Council Meeting held on 6 December 2021.

To agree and sign the minutes of the meeting as an accurate record.

 4.           Wiltshire Council Report.

To receive a report from Wiltshire Council, Cllr. J Kidney.

 5.           Clerk Resignation.

a.           To note the resignation of the Clerk with effect from 31 March 2022.

b.           To agree the ‘handover’ arrangements as proposed by the Clerk or to agree alternative arrangements (subject to agreement by the Clerk).

c.           To establish an Interview Panel to select a new Clerk and to agree the timetable for interviews etc.

 6.           Working Group Formation.

To review and to confirm the number of Working Groups, their titles, and membership.

 Working Group Reports and Current Issues.

To receive the Working Group Reports and to address any current issues - Agenda items 7 to 15.

a.           To agree the proposals from the Biodiversity Group Park Building Garden, Community Hedge Box, Playing Field Grass-cutting programme.

b.           To decide whether to accept the quotation regarding the wildflower planting of the ‘hump’.

c.           To agree to fell the remainder of the storm damaged tree subject to acceptable quotation.

d.           To agree to hedge planting at southeast corner of Playing Field at a cost of £200.

e.           To agree any further actions.

 11.         Highways (including Community Speed Watch).

To note any concerns and to agree any necessary action.

 12.         Westwood Park Building.

a.           To receive a report on the condition of the building.

b.           To decide how to proceed regarding the future use of the building including reviewing any proposals received for its future use, including the ‘Community Shed Business Plan’ proposal.

 13.         Footpaths/Rights of Way.

To note any concerns and to agree any necessary action.

 14.         Westwood Park Play Area and Playing Field.

a.           To note the decision/contract to install a new boundary fence and gate(s).

b.           To note any concerns and to agree any necessary action.

 15.         Neighbourhood Plan.

To receive a report on the progress of developing a Neighbourhood Plan for Westwood.


16.         Date of the next meeting.

To note the date for the next Meeting of the Parish Council Monday 7 March 2022.
