WESTWOOD PARISH COUNCIL - NOTICE OF MEETING
Notice is hereby given that the next meeting of the Westwood Parish Council will be held in the Parish Room on Monday 4 February 2013 at 7.30pm.
1. Welcome and Introductions.
The Chairman to welcome those present.
To receive apologies for non-attendance.
3. Minutes of the Ordinary Parish Council Meeting held on 7 January 2013.
To agree, and sign, the minutes of the meeting as an accurate record.
The Meeting will adjourn for members of the public present to raise any points of interest on any matter.
The meeting will then re-convene.
5. Westwood Road Safety.
a. To note and to report the progress of the Wiltshire Council ’Westwood 20 mph Speed Limit Trial’ formal report and the decision-making process regarding the permanent implementation of the reduced speed limit.
b. To decide if any action needs to be taken in respect of 5a above.
c. To receive a report on any other road safety related matters.
6. Neighbourhood Policing.
a. To invite the NPT to report on any matters of concern.
b. To advise the NPT of any matter that needs to be brought to its attention.
7. Sub-Committees - Sub-Committee Reports.
a. To note the status of the following planning applications:
82 The Pastures
Car port at side of garage over existing hardstanding
13 Linden Crescent
Replacement side extension
b. To agree the comments to be sent to Wiltshire Council in respect of the following planning application:
126 Upper Westwood
Single storey detached garage and store
Comments by 15/2/13
c. To agree the comments to be sent to Wiltshire Council in respect of planning applications received after 28 January 2013.
d. To note/review any other planning matters.
New Planning Applications are available for public inspection immediately prior to the Parish Council meeting.
To receive a report from the Cemetery sub-Committee on current key issues and to agree any necessary action.
a. To receive a report from the Clerk on the current financial position.
b. To decide whether to invite tenders for the Open Space maintenance contract.
c. To agree the payments to be made.
a. To receive a report from Open Spaces sub-Committee on current key issues and to agree any necessary action.
b. To note the inspection/maintenance reports for the Play Equipment (January) and to agree any necessary action.
c. To note any other related matters and to decide the action to be taken.
a. To receive a report from the Environmental sub-Committee on current key issues and to agree any necessary action.
b. To decide the action to be taken to protect the Boswell Road/Tynings Way grass verge.
c. To note the request from a parishioner regarding ‘badgers’ and to agree the action to be taken.
d. To receive a report on the work of the Parish Steward.
e. To note any other related matters and to decide the action to be taken.
To receive a report on the Footpath sub-Committee Rights of Way Survey results (January) and to agree any necessary action.
8. Parish Council Community Engagement.
a. To note the progress of the programme designed to improve Parish Council engagement with the Community and to agree any further action.
b. To note the correspondence from a parishioner regarding engagement/website and to agree any necessary action.
9. Community and Emergency Resilience Planning.
To decide whether to take any action.
10. Wiltshire Council – Parking Restrictions Consultation.
To note the Wiltshire Council consultation paper and to decide whether to comment.
11. Date of Parish Council Meeting.
To note the date of the next Ordinary Parish Council Meeting – TUESDAY 5 March 2013 at 7.30pm.
12. Any Other Business.
Exchange of views on matters not requiring a decision.
