WESTWOOD PARISH COUNCIL - NOTICE OF MEETING
Notice is hereby given that the next meeting of the Westwood Parish Council will be held in the Parish Room on Monday 1 February 2010 at
1.Welcome and Introductions.
The Chairman to welcome those present.
To receive apologies for non-attendance.
3.Minutes of the Ordinary Parish Council Meeting held on 4 January 2010.
To agree, and sign, the minutes of the meeting as an accurate record.
4.Westwood Community Road Safety Campaign (WCRSC).
A presentation by Mr Ian Richardson on the progress of this campaign and the results of the recent village survey.
5.Adjournment (at approx).
The Meeting will adjourn for members of the public present to raise any points of interest on any matter.
The meeting will then re-convene.
6. Neighbourhood Policing.
a.To invite the Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) to report on any matters of concern.
b.To advise the NPT of any matter that needs to be brought to its attention.
7.Westwood Road Safety.
To note the WCRSC Petitions and to decide the action to take.
8.Bradford on Avon Community Area Board.
a.To receive a report from Cllr. Biles on the Area Board meeting held on 21 January 2010.
b.To agree any matter that needs to be referred to the Area Board at its next meeting.
a.To receive a report from the Environmental sub-Committee on current key issues.
b.To note any correspondence received in respect of the Telephone Boxes and to decide whether to adopt one.
c.To note the request for information on Grit Bin locations and to decide whether to request additional ones and, if so, to agree their locations.
d.To note the letter from a parishioner regarding ‘cat nuisance’.
e.To note the reply from Selwood Housing regarding additional tree planting.
a.To receive a report from the Clerk on the current financial position.
b.To note the Quotation for pruning the Cherry Trees and to decide whether to accept it.
c.To note the Quotation for installing new gate/replace fence palings at Westwood Park Play Area and to decide whether to accept it.
d.To approve a donation to Westwood Flower Show.
e.To agree the payments to be made.
a.To note the status of the following planning applications:

Tree Works (Thinning of Beech Tree)
b.To consider any planning applications received after 26 January 2010.
New Planning Applications are available for public inspection immediately prior to the Parish Council meeting.

a.To receive a report from the Cemetery sub-Committee on current key issues.
b.To note the purchase of a Garden of Remembrance Plot.
To review the Footpath sub-Committee Rights of Way Survey results (January).
a.To receive a report from Open Spaces sub-Committee on current key issues.
b.To note the inspection/maintenance reports for the Play Equipment (January) and to agree any necessary action.
c.To note the order placed with Playforce (resulting from the Annual Safety Inspection Report).

Discussion on this item is to be preceded by a resolution to exclude members of the public because of the confidential nature of the business to be addressed, namely the need to agree on how to respond to the published comments in the recent WCRSC ‘Communication Update’.
