Notice is hereby given that the next meeting of the Westwood Parish Council will be held in the Parish Room, Farleigh Lane, Westwood on Monday 1 November 2021 at 7.30pm.


This meeting will strictly observe the extant regulations regarding COVID-19 Security which may include maintaining social distancing, hand cleansing, face coverings and imposing a limit on the number of persons occupying the Parish Room.


 Public Participation (at 7.30pm) - Prior to the commencement of the formal Parish Council meeting, members of the public will be given the opportunity to make any representations that they wish the Parish Council to note.


 1.           Apologies.

To receive and to accept apologies for non-attendance.

 2.           Co-option of a New Member.

a.           To decide whether to co-opt a new member Pat Waller - as a parish councillor.

b.           To co-opt a new member (subject to the decision at 2a above).

 3.           Declaration of Interests.

Councillors to declare any interests.

 4.           Minutes of the Ordinary Parish Council Meeting held on 11 October 2021.

To agree and sign the minutes of the meeting as an accurate record.

 5.           Wiltshire Council Report.

To receive a report from Wiltshire Council, Cllr. J Kidney.

 6.           Working Group Formation.

To agree the number of Working Groups, their titles, and membership.

 7.           Highways and Environmental (including Biodiversity).

a.           To note the Westwood Biodiversity Group proposals as presented at Agenda item 4 and to agree the way forward.

b.           To note the request for allotments (NB. Small Holdings & Allotments Act 1908) and to agree any necessary action.

c.           To note any specific Highways issues and to agree any necessary action.

d.           To note any other matters and to decide any necessary action.

b.           To decide on the response to the community letter regarding the Nursery School building.

c.           To decide how to proceed regarding the future use of the building including reviewing any proposals received for its future use, including the ‘Community Shed’ proposal.

 12.         Westwood Update & Website.

To review these subjects and to decide any necessary action/changes.

 13.         Footpaths.

To note any concerns and to agree any necessary action.

 14.         Play Area.

To note the RoSPA Annual Safety Inspection Report and to identify any necessary action.

 15.         Neighbourhood Plan.

To receive a report on the progress of developing a Neighbourhood Plan for Westwood.

 16.         Date of the next meeting.

To note the date for the next Ordinary Meeting of the Parish Council Monday 6 December 2021.
