Westwood Parish Rooms BA15 2AF
There is currently a project underway to improve the Westwood Parish rooms adjacent to the church to create a multi-function facility that can
be used for a variety of community uses in a pleasant and picturesque setting. The rooms were originally built at the end of the nineteenth century
and are in much need of improvement. There are a number of fundraising activities being organised and involvement from everyone in the Westwood Parish
is most welcome.
If you would like to know more, support or financially contribute to the project please contact Richard Askew - 01225 863350

GOOD NEWS ON THE PARISH ROOM
I am pleased to say that we are now 2/3 of the way towards our £150,000 target, with £52,720 tucked away in the bank and a further £47,000 securely promised.
Westwood, led by the Parish Council, has given a splendid £37,000, while four charitable trusts have given us £23,000 and promised a further £34,000.
To all who have given so generously, very many thanks. If you want to make a donation but have not yet been able to do so, our Treasurer, David Needham, at 38, The Pastures (tel. 866322) will be delighted to hear from you !
Meanwhile, we have been able to apply to the Charity Commission to set up the Charity which will administer the Room on along lease from the Parochial Church Council. We can look forward to a refurbished and improved Parish Room that will be there for the benefit of all Westwood residents.

Thank you Westwood!
I should like to say a general "thank you" to everyone who has contributed in any way towards transforming our Parish Room. Your generosity has been amazing.
As you may recall, £150,000 was needed for the six main building operations required to bring our Parish Room up to today's standards and transform our solid but dated building into something that can serve the whole community in many more ways. You should have received details of all that is planned in the brochure that went through every Westwood letter-box (if not, ring me on 863350)
Thanks to your generosity our door-to-door collecting had yielded a wonderful total of £25,000 by early December. By today that sum will have risen. When we add the £40,000 already promised by the National Trust and Holy Trinity, Bradford, that brings us almost halfway to our target and we can approach Trusts and Charities with integrity, having done our level best.
If by any chance you have a cointribution still to make, please deliver it to our Treasurer, David Needham at 38, The Pastures (tel. 866322). If you have already given, well done and thank you!

Westwood Parish Rooms Transformation
Architect drawings of the project have been drawn up and can be seen in the Parish rooms. We are in the middle of communication to all residents of the parish, and visitors are travelling around the village and collecting donations. Resident response to date has been very encouraging. A number of trusts have been approached and again feedback is positive.
