K6 Phone Box in Upper Westwood
Members of the ‘K6 Upper’ phone box
group would like to thank the members of the Parish Council for buying the old
phone box in order that it might be restored and used as an ‘Exchange Box’.
Also, thanks to the ‘Lower Westwood Telephone Box Library’ group for their
advice and support.
The phone box will be restored over the
next few months and, when ready, will be available for use by all members of
our community. We would like to put in fiction and non-fiction books for all
ages, jigsaws, DVDs and CDs. Also, during the summer and autumn months, surplus
fruit and vegetables may be placed there. (I think we really need a tardis!)
As it is a resource for the whole
community, if possible, please could you look out any items that might be
appropriate for you to donate in order to help with the initial stocking and
re-stocking of the Upper Westwood Exchange Box.
We do hope that this box will become a
valuable resource for the local community.
